La Valentina Sacramento, CA

Looking to reactivate a historic urban neighborhood, Domus built Sacramento’s first true transit oriented development. The Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency selected Domus through a Request for Proposals process to develop this brownfield site adjacent to the La Valentina Light Rail Station. Domus also created a pilot project for Sacramento Municipal Utility District’s Homes of the Future Program, creating the first near Net-Zero townhomes in Sacramento. The project implements numerous green building and design elements, and one third of residents choose to walk, bike, or use transit for their daily commute. La Valentina serves a range of residents in 81 studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, and offers access to employment centers and urban amenities as well as family-friendly amenities such as parks and a free on-site afterschool program.
